Research Group about Intercultural Education

     GREDI was born in the year 1992, inside of the Pedagogical Department, in the University of Barcelona. Having as its foundation and main framework of practise and thinking the Intercultural Education. Since that moment on, our conceptual awareness and perception about the Intercultural Education evolved, as a result of several investigations, likewise are own personal researches and as a group. Consequently, it made us submerge deep into different subjects that naturally gave origin in the process, to the major outlines of our investigations as a group, that can be illustrate as:

    Moreover, it’s important for us that the research task has implications in our society. In other words, it aims to contribute to the changing processes which guide us to a social transformation, based on the prompts of equity and social cohesion. Therefore, our works are based on:
  • An intensive and extensive, diagnosis analysis, using a wide range of methodology which allow us to understand and to identify educational necessities .
  • The elaboration of programmes and educational materials which provide answers to different and analysed educational realities.
  • The elaboration of evaluative investigations which analyse and offer an optimization perspective to some educational proposals.
  • The professional training through action-investigation learning and collaborative investigations.
